And so it came to pass……… Both A and B teams were involved in the final league games of
the season and, there being are no promotion or relegation battles, it was a pleasant
afternoon in the sunshine and a chance to wind down.
End of Season positions
B Team
The B team entertained top of the table Victoria at home. Despite losing narrowly on all three rinks, they made a good fist of it, and ran the newly-crowned champions very close.
Victoria will now be playing in North 1 next year and we will look forward to seeing how they fare against our A team.
A Team
The A team went to Winscombe knowing that a win would keep their opponents from
winning the league. For a while, it seemed that two of the rinks might just do enough to
upset Winscombe's chance of promotion.
In the end the only winning rink was that of John Wright, Lee Pheasant, Paul Aldus and Phil Villis, who again finished on a high, having been the most consistent rink all season.
Well done and thank you to both the A and B team squads for all their efforts and hopefully, we can improve and challenge for promotion next year.
