Green News

With the season fast approaching, work on and around the green is gathering pace. The last couple of weeks, our contractors have been particularly busy visiting on a number of occasions.

The green has been

• Cut and given a light scarification with some additional aeration.

• Lawn sand has been spread to combat moss.

• Further levelling on rink 6 and around the green edges has taken place.

• It has been rolled.

• Sprayed with wetting agent to combat some soil issues, and

• Spread with magnesium sulphate to address some deficiencies highlighted in our soil samples.

Work will continue in a similar vein on the lead up to opening day and we will keep you informed as to progress.
