It is with the greatest sadness that I am writing to let you know that, whilst playing a match at the club, our friend Hilary Guckian collapsed with a cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of some of the members, including the use of the defibrillator, and the paramedics who arrived very quickly, he could not be saved.  Our thoughts are with Vicki and their family at this time.

It seems inconceivable that Hilary won't be there chivvying people along to play in matches.  He has done so much for the club over many years and his support will be greatly missed... but mostly we will miss him as a good guy and a great friend.

We have cancelled all matches this weekend as a mark of respect. The club will re-open on Monday evening 10th August as usual.
