Green Autumn Renovation Work

No Bowls but it was a busy time on the green this week.

Firstly, the green was scarified, and large amounts of dead organic matter (thatch) was removed.

That was cleared and then it was aerated with a machine that removed hollow cores from the green.

Fertilizer was applied, the green was over seeded with 10kgs of seed and special attention given to the bare areas. Fingers crossed for good germination.

A few other members also attended and the benches other furniture and items were put away for the winter.
